We are pleased to announce the third International Conference on Global Family Business, to be held on 27 & 28 December 2025 at Center for Strategy and Human Capital Research, National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan). This year’s conference will focus on the theme of succession in family firms, a critical issue for ensuring the sustainability and longevity of family businesses across generations.
This interdisciplinary conference aims to bring together scholars from social sciences and management sciences to explore new insights into succession planning and implementation in family firms. The event provides a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to deepen our understanding of succession challenges and opportunities.

 

Conference Theme: Succession in Family Firms

Succession is one of the most pivotal events in the lifecycle of a family business, often determining its future success or failure. This conference will examine succession from multiple perspectives, including family dynamics, business strategy, cultural influences, and governance.

Submission Guidelines

We invite submissions of extended abstracts (500–1,000 words) or full papers that make original contributions to the field. Submissions must include:
📍Title of the paper.
📍Author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and contact information.
📍Abstract summarizing the research question, methodology, and main findings.

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review processAccepted papers will be eligible for presentation at the conference and potential publication in a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal or an edited volume.

🔔The entire conference will be conducted in English.

📍Notification of Acceptance: 31 August 2025
📍Full Paper Submission Deadline: 12 December 2025
📍Conference Dates: 27 & 28 December 2025
